Video Game Voice Over

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, Disciples Liberation, Fallout London, Forsaken Realms: Vahrin’s Call, Dwarven Realms: the Fall of Archeon.

I still remember my first console, a Super Nintendo, inherited from my uncle. The early years of joy this brought me have led to a lifelong enjoyment of the medium and thus an understanding of what it is required of a voice actor performing a role.

Having trained in musical theatre and later in Meisner Technique and Grotowski I not only have a well honed and practiced vocal technique and a litany of tools to draw on, but a tried and true approach to character development that provides authentic and truthful performances and delivers the emotional depth that is sought after in today’s video games.

Having spent a great deal of time working in the theatre I know that vocal health, stamina and technique are incredibly important. Being asthmatic I have paid particular attention to this meaning that in a video game recording session I am able to sustain technique and deliver a solid performance throughout; regardless of whether I am delivering conversational dialogue or recording non-scripted vocal efforts and shouts.

Having provided voices on a number of AAA and Indie video games, I understand that different roles have different requirements, a flexibility that I am proud to be able to offer. As a gamer myself I have an understanding of how games have evolved over the years and what performances are required based on the differing genres, including being able to deliver an extensive array of weird and wonderful creature sounds.

I can record remotely, self-directed or with live direction over Zoom, Skype and Source Connect, and am available for in-person recording sessions for voice over and motion capture.
